Inspired by vintage bird drawings, Pelican & Other Findings places a familiar coastal pelican among an imagined collection of botanicals, branches and curious little specimens. Part natural-history study and part daydream, the piece plays with the things we notice in nature—and all the ways our memories and imaginations transform them.
Each print begins and ends right here in my studio. I print each one myself on beautiful, heavyweight art paper, then carefully inspect, hand-sign, and package it by hand. Prints are tucked into a protective clear sleeve with a sturdy backing board, ready to make their way from my little corner of the world to yours.
